Key Shell for Peugeot / Citroën – 2 Buttons | CE0523

Replacement key shell for Peugeot and Citroën keys with 2 buttons and the CE0523 marking, designed to replace a worn or damaged key fob housing.

Worn buttons, a cracked shell or a damaged key mechanism do not mean the entire key has to be replaced. Simply transfer the electronics, transponder and battery from your old key into the new shell. No adaptation or programming is required.

Installation – two options

• New key blade – the included metal blade can be cut by a locksmith.
• Original key blade – your existing blade can be transferred to the new shell.

Note: the original folding mechanism from the old shell does not fit the new shell.

Transfer the electronics, transponder and battery from your existing key. No programming is required.

Key blade

The included blade is a VA2 blade without a groove. This only matters if you plan to have the new blade cut by a locksmith. If you reuse the original blade from your old key, the type of the supplied blank is not relevant.

Battery

The key uses a CR1620 battery. In the CE0523 version, the battery is fitted directly to the key electronics, not in the shell. The battery is not included.
